Vibrant final between FC Barcelona and RCD Espanyol in the U12B category which ended up being decided in favor of the Blaugrana team in the penalty shootout (2-0) after regulation time ended with tables on the scoreboard (2- 2).

The game had everything, with chances on both sides, good interventions by the goalkeepers, posts and also goals. The first ones were in favor of Espanyol, who struck first with a goal from Ibrahima El Hadji in the opening section of the match. The forward marked a quick attack with a cross shot. Arturo García extended the lead, taking second, but Guerau Villegas soon closed the gap. Barça’s 5 stole a ball near the area and put the 1-2 on the scoreboard shortly before the break. In the second half, the tonic was repeated, with chances on both sides.

Espanyol had numerous opportunities but without success; the sticks and the good interventions of Biel Chacón have avoided the third of the white-and-blues. Instead, Juan Fernández equalized in the 28th minute after connecting a pass from a teammate to the far post in an action that had started with a corner kick. Already in the penalty shootout, the Barça goalkeeper stopped the two kicks he received and gave his team the final victory.

Immaculate trajectory of the Blaugrana team in the MIC, with no defeat in the eight games they have played and only a single draw, the one in today’s final. He has scored 103 goals, more than any other rival, and one of his footballers, Gerard Majoral, has been the top scorer in the category with 31 goals.

FC Barcelona’s youngsters have been crowned MICFootball champions in the U12A category after beating Real Madrid CF in a very even match that was decided from the penalty spot.

The 50 minutes of regular time ended in a draw (2-2) and it was the penalties that decided the final winner. The Blaugrana team took the lead early on, after five minutes, with an early goal from Antonio Amaya. Before the break, response from Manuel Francisco Duarte to make it 1-1 on the scoreboard. History repeated itself in the second act because Agus Marcen did not take long to overcome the white goalkeeper. Despite this, Barça could not maintain the advantage throughout the game and in the last minute, Rubén Martín was responsible for making the final 2-2 by converting a free-kick. Very few mistakes in the penalty shootout until Ismael d’Andrés, of Real Madrid, missed his shot, which allowed the Blaugrana side to proclaim themselves champions (6-7).

Barça, who have just finished the group stage with three wins from three games played and 48 goals in favor without conceding any, have left behind UE Celrà, Vic Riuprimer Refo FC and Next Level Soccer in the qualifiers , before beating Real Madrid CF in the final today. Fode Diallo and Mohamed Akhomach, two of their players, have been the top scorers in the category with 14 and 11 goals, respectively.

In this way, the tournament aims to take another step in its commitment to continuous improvement to always meet the highest standards in terms of integrity, ethics, professionalism, compliance, and social responsibility.

The president of MICFootball, Juanjo Rovira Berengué, will be the person responsible for receiving and addressing any incident regarding the two protocols. Any eventuality must be communicated immediately to the email info@micsports.es
