MICFootball have already five teams confirmed for the next edition, which will be held from 4 to 9 April 2023 at the Costa Brava. They are five top-tier teams: Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham and Crystal Palace. Five of the Premier League’s biggest teams have confirmed their presence in the international tournament, which will live its 21st edition enjoying the future stars growing.
MANCHESTER UNITED
United have won MICFootball once. It was in 2005, in the A category.
Manchester United currently have three players who have played MICFootball in their first team. One is Marcus Rashford, a speedy striker, who was on the Costa Brava in 2010. The other is Diogo Dalot, who came to the tournament in 2013 with FC Porto. And the last one is Casemiro, an impressive new signing of the Red Devils this summer who came to the MIC in 2008 with the Brazilian National Team.
In this last 2022 edition, Manchester United was one of the main attractions of the tournament with the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.
MANCHESTER CITY
The other team from the city of Manchester, which returns to the tournament after taking part in the 2019 edition.
In the current squad led by Pep Guardiola we find two MICPlayers: Rodri came with Atlético de Madrid in 2010, while Cole Palmer played the tournament with City in 2016.
CRYSTAL PALACE
They came for the first time in 2019 and now are back to show again their strengths. We will be pleased to see them at the Costa Brava next Easter!
LIVERPOOL
Liverpool claimed their first MICFootball title in 2019 after defeating Olympique de Marseille on penalties in the B2 category final.
In his current first team, we find some MICPlayers. The best, without a shadow of a doubt, is Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian star was at the Costa Brava with his National Team in 2010. Apart from him, goalkeeper Alisson Becker was an important part of the success of the Brazilian National Team in the 2008 edition together with Neymar, Coutinho and Casemiro. Also, the young Curtis Jones participated in the tournament in 2013.
TOTTENHAM
From the city of London we are glad to count with Tottenham Hotspur, a team that in recent years has positioned itself in the elite zone of the European football. They were already in the 2019 edition and will return in 2023.
