Manchester United and Manchester City will face each other this Saturday in the eleventh round of the Premier League. The Red Devils are seeking for the UCL positions, while the citizens are pursuing Chelsea and Liverpool at the standings.
MICFootball will be focused on one of the most traditional matches in the UK, as we will have 8 players who were in our tournament a few years ago. We are meaning Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Juan Mata, Eric Bailly and Diogo Dalot from United; as well as Ferran Torres, Cole Palmer and Rodri from City.
The future begins here
Rashford and Greenwood are two of the most promising English players. Rashford came to the Costa Brava in 2010, showing his physicality and speed on the pitch. On the other hand, Greenwood played the MICFootball four times (2012, 2013, 2014 & 2017).
Apart from Greenwood, two more players coincided took part in the tournament in 2013 edition. Diogo Dalot was part of FC Porto, while Eric Bailly was playing in RCD Espanyol at that time.
Rodri, an important piece for Guardiola’s roster, is also a MICPlayer after appearing in the tournament a decade ago (2010). He defended Atletico de Madrid colors.
Juan Mata, the oldest one (and obviously not least), is also in the history books. He participated with Real Oviedo. After his participation in MICFootball, Real Madrid signed him.
Pep Guardiola, MICFootball ambassador
Pep Guardiola, former FC Barcelona player and coach, currently at Manchester City, was chosen as ambassador in the first MICFootball. Since then, he has achieved a lot during his career. A great model for all the kids and managers.
We would like to send luck to all of them!
