Atletico have won the tournament 4 times (2003, 2010, 2011 and 2018 – the latter in the women’s category -), so they will be looking for their fifth title in the next edition.

In the current Atletico there are a total of 3 players who have played the MICFootball:

  • Joao Felix. The Portuguese played the 2013 edition with FC Porto.
  • Sergio Reguilon. The left back was in the tournament back at 2010 with Real Madrid.
  • Saúl Ñíguez. The midfielder lived the MIC experience in 2008 with Real Madrid.

More good news are coming for the next edition of MICFootball, which will take place from April 4 to 9 2023 in more than 30 municipalities from the Costa Brava. Real Madrid have confirmed their participation in the tournament! The Merengues will return one more year to an event they have only missed once.

Real Madrid is one of the clubs with more success in the tournament, having won a total of 10 titles:

Dani Carvajal, from MICFootball to succeed at Madrid

The right back played the 2006 edition with Real Madrid. Carvajal went through stages until he reached the first team, where he has spent 10 seasons and has won a total of 5 Champions Leagues. We are proud of seeing how he has grown professionally to become one of the best in the world at his position.

Carvajal is one of the many MICPlayers who have played the tournament with Real Madrid’ shirt. Other illustrious names are Saúl Ñíguez, Sergio Reguilón, Raúl de Tomás, Miguel Gutiérrez, Pablo Sarabia, Hakimi Achraf or Borja Mayoral.

Juventus FC will play the MICFootball for their first time in the 2023 edition, which will be held from April 4 to 9 on the Costa Brava.

The Vecchia Signora will thus make their debut in the international youth football tournament, with more than 20 years of history and which has seen born great players like Leo Messi, Neymar, Casemiro, Rashford or Pedri.

The Brazilian Alex Sandro, currently playing for the Italian team, was in two editions of the MIC. He came in 2009 and 2010 with the Brazilian National Team. We are so proud of his career!

Great news! AC Milan will play the MICFootball for the first time in their history. The Italian team will make their debut in the next edition, which will be held at the Costa Brava from April 4th to 9th, 2023.

For the organization it is a luxury to welcome a centennial club, one of the most renowned in European football with 7 Champions League.
