FC Barcelona players Ansu Fati, Eric Garcia and Laia Codina were the special guests of the MICFootball 2023 presentation at the imaginCafe in Barcelona. The three football players, who once played in the tournament, are the ambassadors of the 21st edition together with the Girona FC winger Arnau Martínez.
These were his words recalling their experience at MICFootball:
ANSU FATI
“Weeks before the tournament began, we were already talking about how we wanted to win it. It was marked on the calendar. Representing your club and winning it was something unique. In the end, that Clásico was the best for us, playing against Madrid in a final was everything for us”.
ERIC GARCIA
“It was very special for us to participate. In the league you played against Catalan teams and there you met clubs from all over the world. It was spending a week focused, sharing with other teams… it was a very important date”
LAIA CODINA
“These are very special memories. I remember that it was a special moment because it was closing a cycle with Cassà, where I grew up. You have a very nice memory. It was one of my first tournaments with Barça, we reached the semifinals and it’s always a special tournament. As a Girona you live it even more. I remember spending the week going from field to field. It is an experience that is not so much about winning or losing, but about what you have left that you live that week with teammates and rivals”.
